The following series of works explore the border between sculpture and collage by the addition of three-dimensional elements to the canvas or board which form a relief rising from the surface of the underlying substrate. These elements are principally found and everyday architectural wood and metal materials which have been renewed in the process of creating the multi-layered composite paintings.
